Slow Food Northern Ohio Event: Antipasto Preview at Bar Cento

Slow Food Northern Ohio presents an exclusive preview of…

Bar Cento
1948 west 25th street, cleveland
Wednesday, October 3, 6-8pm

Slow Food Northern Ohio has arranged a hard-hat happy hour preview of Bar Cento, Chef Jonathon Sawyer and partner Sam McNulty’s Roman-styled enoteca opening this October in Ohio City.

Bar Cento will feature traditional Roman recipes utilizing local Northeast Ohio ingredients. Chef Sawyer, formerly head chef of Michael Symon’s Lolita in Tremont and most recently head chef at Symon’s Parea in Manhattan, has created a menu at Bar Cento that will include house-cured salume and antipasto, traditional and modern brick-oven pizzas, and daily specials like meatballs, gnocchi and lasagna. Cento is Italian for 100, and the number of wines by the bottle offered at Bar Cento. Bar Cento, which is slated to open early October, will serve dinner and late-night eats seven days a week.

Chef (and Slow Food member) Sawyer, has agreed to open his doors a couple weeks early so Slow Food members can stop in after work and sample antipasto selections from his Roman-inspired menu matched with Italian wines selected by Bill Barefoot of 55 Degrees. Our special Slow Food preview menu will include the following selections.
