Holistic Living: A Guide & Journal, 180 Days of Healthy Living

Slow Food member, Stephanie Richards, has written a new book, Holistic Living: A Guide & Journal, 180 Days of Healthy Living. Presented in a friendly and down to earth format, even the proverbial "meat and potato" person will be able to incorporate many of the suggestions in the book.

The book begins with focusing on one's mental attitude and explains the need to change old and unnecessary belief patterns to help one reach their lifestyle goals. Sections on choosing a whole foods diet, conscious eating, vitamin supplementation and detoxification are included along with breakfast, snack, three and five day menus and recipes. Monthly goal writing and daily food journaling compose the final section of this primer for healthy living.

Stephanie is a registered dietitian and holistic health counselor who felt there was a need for a practical and easy way for people to learn how to make smarter lifestyle choices. This book combines Stephanie's expert nutrition advice and coaching skills into a plan that even the most nutritionally ignorant of us can follow.

Stephanie will lead a discussion of the book on:
