Slow Food For Thought...

"I keep saying, this isn't anything new we've dreamed up. We're dependent on each other and on the land and once you get connected, your eyes are opened to everything - to art, to music, to the world around you. That's the magic of it. You think it's only about food, but its not really about food. I hope people get that. It's what we're looking for - meaningful work, meaningful lives. We just have to find the door in." - Alice Waters

Slow Sunday at Brunty Farms

Join Slow Food Northern Ohio for a Slow Sunday at Brunty Farms, located in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Jeff and Melanie have generously offered to give us a tour of the farm, and will speak with us about how they got started, the partnership with the Countryside Conservancy, and the amazing animals they raise including the Buckeye Chicken!

Make sure yo bring your picnic blanket or folding chairs, because after the tour we'll have the opportunity to purchase lunch from the Dim & Den Sum food truck! Lunches will cost between $8-10, please bring cash. You'll be able to relax and enjoy the farm, while eating fabulous food!

Jeff will also have their wonderful eggs available for purchase, and you'll have the opportunity to order chickens for future pick up.

RSVP to SlowFoodNorthernOhio@gmail.com by Sunday, June 20th.
