Slow Food For Thought...

"I keep saying, this isn't anything new we've dreamed up. We're dependent on each other and on the land and once you get connected, your eyes are opened to everything - to art, to music, to the world around you. That's the magic of it. You think it's only about food, but its not really about food. I hope people get that. It's what we're looking for - meaningful work, meaningful lives. We just have to find the door in." - Alice Waters

Thank You!

Thank you to our members and friends who volunteered their time this past weekend to help make the first annual Ripe Food & Garden Festival event a success! We introduced thousands of folks to the world of Slow Food and had a great deal of fun doing it.

Audrey, Sue, Sarah, Cory, Karen, Rebecca, Brandon, Steve, Julie, Stan, Jyll, Peter, Virginia, Meghan, Trenton, Veronica, Nancy, Mary Anne, and Herb: You are the best!

A special thank you as well to Abbe Turner of Lucky Penny Creamery for the sampling of artisan goat cheeses; Lucy Wellhausen from Ohio Honey Company who led a tasting of local honey; and to Larry Luschek of Infinite Garden Farm who led the garlic tasting.

Thank you,
Slow Food Northern Ohio
