Slow Food For Thought...

"I keep saying, this isn't anything new we've dreamed up. We're dependent on each other and on the land and once you get connected, your eyes are opened to everything - to art, to music, to the world around you. That's the magic of it. You think it's only about food, but its not really about food. I hope people get that. It's what we're looking for - meaningful work, meaningful lives. We just have to find the door in." - Alice Waters

Miller Livestock Deliveries in Cleveland Next Thursday

Aaron & Melissa Miller of Miller Livestock in Kinsman just called to let us know they will be making deliveries of their delicious, locally raised, grass-fed meats in the Cleveland area next Thursday, January 26.

"We have an abundance of pork--Berkshire and Hereford chops, western, spare and St. Louis ribs, boneless pork loin roasts (I have a great recipe using maple syrup) and a limited number of pork tenderloins," Melissa reports. Lamb packages as well as a variety of grass-fed beef cuts are also available.

If you'd like to place an order, visit the Miller Livestock website or call 330.876.5655. You can rendezvous with the Millers to pick up your order on Thursday at Flying Fig at 3:30PM or Fire at 5:00PM.
