Master Gardeners: From Garden to Table Seminar
It may be freezing outside, but it's definitely not too early to be planning your gardening adventures for the upcoming season. The Master Gardeners of Cuyahoga County just forwarded this information about their annual seminar coming up on April 20. It looks like a great program! Six talented professional presenters will be covering a wide variety of topics. Tim Malinich, OSU Educator from Erie County, will give the ‘Pros and Cons of Organic Gardening’; Randell McShepard, Community Leader and Farmer will talk about ‘Urban Farming as Part of Reinventing Cleveland’; Eric Draper, OSU Educator from Geauga County will cover ‘Diseases of Fruits & Vegetables’; Debbie Dean-Espie, Owner/Operator Dean’s Greenhouse, will discuss ‘Potagers: The Rise of the Grow Food, Not Lawns Movement’; Rudy Moyer, Farm Manager, Master Gardener from Stark County, will talk about ‘Growing Miniature Vegetables’; and Judi Strauss, author and teacher will present ‘The Charmed Kitchen: Cooking With Herbs’.
The program fee is $36.00 and will include lunch. Added features are door prizes, raffle baskets with gardening items, books, gift certificates, and more. Herb and vegetable plants from Dean’s Greenhouse and books and seasoning mixes from Judy Strauss will be available for sale.
